saprophyte is a real-time interactive particle system based on the principles of stigmergy. 60,000 particles move around the canvas leaving trails behind them as they move, while each particle decides how to move based on the trails left by other particles around it. You can click to erase the trails in an area, forcing the particles to rebuild their structures anew. Press "c" to capture an image. By default this will save an image at the resolution of the browser window. If you'd like to save an image at a different resolution, you can press "o" to override the browser's resolution and force the piece to render at a resolution of your choice, and then press "c" to capture the image at your chosen resolution. For best results, wait several seconds after changing the resolution to capture an image, as the piece may need time to adjust to the new resolution.
