Ridge scribbles is the first piece of a small series around mountain landscapes using different rendering techniques. A heightmap is generated using fractal noise with different parameters and scales. Then we generate tens of thousands of paths by using a gradient descent algorithm with momentum, starting at random positions on the reversed heightmap.
